Platonic love, romantic love, compassionate love, etc.

Love is a chemical reaction in the brain it makes people do silly things
it affects most and well it doesn't affect others. Most people fall in love some don't.

Your age is about the last time I felt it. The only reason I'm still alive and didn't blow my brains out at seventeen like I said I would is because I'm quietly hoping it will happen again, because there's no point in living otherwise.

I've never been really in love either, still not had a serious relationship.

I thought I was in love at one point, but it wasn't reciprocated and in hindsight I think it was just a lot of infatuation... and jealousy... and petty teen angst.

The subject was broached in another thread not too log ago. I'll drop the same answer here... a foolproof way to determine if what's being felt is the genuine article, or Something Else:

Love is sacrifice.

If you aren't willing to make real ones, or they aren't willing to make them for you, then it ain't love.
