hi all from brazil

hi all
my name is Angelo. I am a evangelical christian, and live in brazil. I would like to debate with atheists, and explain why i think theism has better arguments for our existence, than strong atheism.

Welcome, Angelo. If you think you have good arguments for the existence of your god, we'd certainly love to hear them. Good luck!

Hi Angelo, what have ya got for us?!
My religion is the understanding of my world. My god is the energy that underlies it all. My worship is my constant endeavor to unravel the mysteries of my religion.

Oh dear,another one.
I'll hold my welcome until you show some evidence of a capacity for independent thinking. That will make you the second apologist to do so since I've been here. The other is Tacky, and even he reverts occasionally.

I notice how Pad wades in with derogatory remarks but then "ignores theists" because it's annoying to him.

Welcome Angelo,
I would like to see more Christians ready for a debate in this forum. It's what keep things interesting. This place would be a little boring with only one side of the debate.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Welcome to the forums.
I'm no strong atheist myself, as in, I am not a gnostic atheist, I'm an agnostic one.
I don't deny the mere possibility of God's existence, however extremely improbable he may indeed be.
I say that gnostic atheism is on the whole less rational than agnosticism theism. Gnosticism I think is at least generally very irrational and completely baseless.
The exception is when you are gnostic about the non-existence of God's that logically contradict themselves and therefore cannot exists. But other than when applied to those Gods, gnostic atheism is irrational.
