My biggest peeve is people fawning for attention.

Um well, if you have favorite actors or musicians or even scientists,  how do you think they make their living? I don't think that is always "fawning". If that were the case then Hitchens and Harrris and Dawkins and Ayaan and Dennet are also attention seekers.
