So I Google "Atheist Forum" and here I am. I'm a former agnostic who became a christian 5 years ago and now I feel that I've become an atheist. I went to bible college, taught Sunday School, preached, debated atheists and tried to convert everyone in my path. But I can now no longer claim to be a Christian. Nor do I desire to. It took some time, but I have opened my eyes and can now see the deception. I told my pastor last week I was no longer a believer and would not be back to church. I'm glad I found a place where I can vent. I don't know but a couple of atheists/agnostics and my wife remains a strong believer. Not to mention my father-in-law is a preacher. I have some difficult times ahead of me.

By the way, anyone want to buy any Christian books? I've got an office full. Oh, the money I wasted.

You could always use the books as fuel for a fire. (That'll be the only time you'll ever hear me suggest that books should be burned.)

True that! I could throw all these stupid southern gospel CDs in the fire too. But if I could sell them, I could use the money to start rebuilding my music collection that I foolishly threw away after being "saved" and learning all my music was satanic. I think I'll head out tomorrow and buy a Godsmack CD. That'll make me feel better.

Good idea! Throwing away Slayer's "Reign in Blood" was one of the more difficult and stupid things I have ever done. It will be replaced very soon.

If I found myself on the brink of becoming Christian *gag*, that would be the thing to stop me. All I would have left are my classical and instrumental cds, if I had to purge my music collection of evil. I couldn't do it.
