A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"

RE: A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"
Maybe I'm wrong but I expect there are more people here who value the ideals of free speech than there are that want to censor people because they have offensive opinions.

Jesus fucking christ.  With all the drama around here the staff should start giving out Oscars.

Right? That's why the word fuck was invented.

That's exactly the point. If a person is expressing their thoughts and opinions while staying within the Rules, at what point can we say they are abusing freedoms?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I admit that I have been known to use it.

This has been more fun than the election debates.

I don't understand any of this rage-quiting business, lol.  If there's a certain poster you'd rather not engage with, don't engage with them.  If their posts sneak through the ignore function on the back of a quote...well, that's just a limitation of the ignore function.  When or if that function fails, and I'm about to say something totally crazy...I know....avert your eyes.  Problem solved.  I mean, it;s either that or a lengthy programming workaround that would fail about as often as people fail to use user specific quote tags for every single quote....but hey, if you can do that or know someone who can....notify staff, I'm sure they'd appreciate it.  It's not a job, nobody gets paid, staff doesn't owe anybody anything.

LOL, Tibs here tries to make a simple announcement regarding a specific rule and it turns into an episode of Springer.  Only at AF baby, only at AF.   Wink

Slamming your nuts in a car door would be more fun than the debates.

I'm sorry but that is a weak excuse. Not ignoring people out of principle? Really? Ignoring people is the adult way to handle obnoxious people. I'm on this site literally every week day and have had only a few run ins with this guy. Simply cause I stay out of the areas he is in. My mother used to tell me when I was little to just ignore my little sisters when they frustrated me. Sure enough once I did they couldn't bother me anymore. We shouldn't have to give this lesson to grown adults on the internet. Don't feed him and he will have nothing to react to. Warn other newbs when they get into it with him and if they don't listen let the two of them duke it out themselves. Others are not needed to be involved.
