Well, taking a look behind the scenes, it is really odd what happened O.o;
I don't see the nuke option being used here. I do understand why Drich is an abhorrent person, still not enough.
It pains me to see Rob going like this. He will be welcomed back, but we can't really go against a person unilateral decision.

You had better be using a healthy dose of Clorox!
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I don't think he's a troll. He's just a despicable excuse for a human being. We've had a few of them and the one and only person I have on ignore isn't Drich. My lunch always has a tendency to come up again when I read Drich's posts. But being the perfect asshole doesn't make him a troll. It just makes him someone who's got no empathy to speak of and always aims for the most vulnerable spots of a person if they revealed it to him.

And a Hazmat suit. but I think only a healthy dose of napalm would clear that for sure.

It is the way I see it. It does pains me to see people leaving because of his presence. He only shows that horrible persons can be religious (so much for "you need religion to be good"). Case in point, it is easy to mental ignore. I have no one on my ignore list, nor I should now and again.

Don't know why I have this particular person on ignore. He wasn't/isn't that important and only sneaked in about a dozen posts or so. But for some reason he made my blood boil like noone else does. When seeing something by him I wanted nothing but insult him. So, that's no base to counter anything and I decided to put him on ignore.

Only goes to show that religion or the absence thereoff doesn't make you better or worse. I always keep saying, there are just as many atheists I wouldn't want to know in real life as there are theists. Mental ignore, well yes, I got a few of them there. Mostly the ones that bore me with the same over and over. Mostly harmless people who don't inspire any emotional reaction on my part.

I briefly put a couple of people on ignore a while back but removed them shortly after.

Well, it is a feature members have. So yeah, people should use it. I don't because I somewhat enjoy seeing people saying stupid things. It makes me feel better about myself, I guess :-s

Oh great noodly one, grant me the serenity to accept the benignly stupid things some theists say; the courage to challenge the egregious things they say; and the ignore button for those who will neither stop spouting hurtful bullshit nor shut the hell up. Ramen.

I have an ignore button in my 1/2 brain.
