I can subscribe to that definition, but most theists would disagree with that definition.

Hello.
Are you going to try to convince me to eat brussels sprouts? Mom said they were goodness but .................. Maybe Mom was Satan.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I'll give you this much, you're light years ahead of most theists if you realize that the God people have been communing with for eons is only something which arises and abides within them. But most of us atheists don't hate God, well not any more than we hate the character of Sauron in the Lord of the Rings .. and for similar reasons.
Welcome, Fk789. I don't see any reason to worship or pray to goodness, but I hope your idea catches on with theists. It would be a great improvement...and someone holding that belief would be an atheist, though they might not realize it; the way that someone who believes in Santa Clause as the 'spirit of generosity in people' doesn't really believe in Santa Clause.

Hi.
Bye.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
