RE: The bastards ruined Toblerones!
This issue is clearly a lot more important than the US election or Brexit.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

But I get what market research came up with. Less product for the same price. That seems to be behind the decision.

So...they didn't want to raise the price for their customers, but they thought giving them less chocolate for the current price was a good idea?

I feel a sudden urge to write a strongly-worded letter of complaint.

Alright, a moderately-worded letter. I'm not a monster.

Quote:Some fans of Toblerone's distinctive triangular chocolate chunks are feeling down in the mouth after the look of two bars sold in the UK was changed.

Mondelez International, the company behind the product, has increased the gap between the peaks to reduce the weight of what were 400g and 170g bars.

Some consumers have described the move as "the wrong decision" and said the bigger spaces looked "stupid".

Mondelez said the move was down to the rise in the cost of ingredients.

In a statement on the Toblerone Facebook page, the company said it had to make a decision between changing the look of the bars or raising their price.

The move has resulted in the weight of the 400g bars being reduced to 360g and the 170g bars to 150g, while the size of the packaging has remained the same.

It said: "We chose to change the shape to keep the product affordable for our customers."

Never had one before, what did they used to look like?

This shape reminds me of car tire spikes. It appears to be letting the air out of quite a few people.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

One of the oldest marketing tricks. Leaving the size of the package as is but filling it with less product. Many manufacturers over the decades have done that and got away with it.
