Faith in God is a little more complicated than Santa. While Santa is a useful comparison for some arguments, it is known by everyone that Santa is a myth. God, however, is not taught as a myth to tease kids, it is taught as a real concept as early as possible.

Indoctrination can not simply be changed by telling them it's a story. If it could, then man would this world be a different place.

Thank-you I find this helpful however what do you think is a good solution as I fell obligated to help. My grand parents are Seventh Day Adventists and they are simply rotting in a hole they can’t get out of and unfortunately they have become fanatical and even tried to get me into it once. I would like to help them my cousins and other people I could (a reverse Jesus if you could call it that).

How are do atheists use the knowledge that evolution exists in there every day lives. Can you tell the difference between an atheist and a religious person when you walk down the street or even when speaking to someone? What makes us different?

Other than procreating with the hottest woman I can find (doing my part in natural selection) as often as I can, I don't see how it has anything to do with my life beyond acedemic discussion. What makes me different is that when people ask me if I believe that god exists, then I say no.
I also don't proletyze (beyond talking about the subject, like I do here - but that's not the same as going door to door asking if people have been "saved").
I don't spend any unnecessary time at church (beyond advancing my first directive listed above).
I acknowledge all religion as fiction - (and not even good fiction at that.)
I really can't think of it being much more complicated than that and I was even embellishing a little.
