Hmmm, what are the implications of the theory of emergent gravity? And what specific testable predictions does it make that would theoretically allow it to be validated against other competing theories?

Good question! Back in 2009/2010 when entropic gravity came out, I once went to lunch with Verlinde after his talk and had all the opportunities to discuss, and I still don't understand the theory. I really don't. Every time I tried to get what they are doing, it ended with frustration. If the people promoting it weren't renowned scientists, I think I would have decided that it's nonsense long ago, but things being the way they are, I'm probably too stupid or something.

There is no gravity. Space-time just sucks.

Does emergent gravity imply gravity is not a force mediated by a messenger graviton, but merely a complex statistical phenomenon that cause other particles to behave in a collective way that we empirically describe with our theories of gravity?
