Trump's daughter converted to Judaism, her husband was already a Jew by ethnicity and religion and happens to be  - or at least used to be - one of Trumps closest advisers. Sheldon Adelson is one of his largest donators and happens to be Jewish.

Recent accusations of anti-Semitism or comparisons to Adolf Hitler from the left, and even idiots on the right too, are stupid just like the certain Trump supporter harassing that journalist and calling them a 'stupid Jewish faggot'.

Not to mention the shitposters from the alt-right spreading neo-Nazi sentiments on social media are idiots as well for not knowing who had a large hand in bankrolling their candidate or the religion of their God Emperor's daughter.

While I recognise that you wouldn't usually make that comparison because you're smarter than that, plenty of people still do and they seriously mean it.

Sure there are worrisome parallels. Otoh, Trump isn't a failed postcard painter who before coming to power wrote a rambling book in prison about how this or that group of people really need to go, one way or the other.
