cracked rib?

Talked to a relative who has had several of them and we're thinking I managed to do my first a couple weeks age with a little slide and bump on a stairway.
Medically, not much can be done, it isn't bad enough to puncture my lung, so it's a put up with it till it gets better.

I cracked a rib coughing, New Year's Eve, 2010. Heard the riverfront fireworks from the ER at the VA. When the Doc told me what had happened I naturally WTF'd. "You big guys are more susceptible to that kind of thing." Thanks, Doc.

Yikes. Sounds awful. I just spent over a year waiting for my hyper extended knee to more or less heal, which it has .. more or less. Time to leave the lifting of bales to others and get a desk job?

Compression wrap and suck it up.
Bubble wrap if you think the behavior will continue.

Was traveling and staying in an unfamiliar house, missed the top step on the way to a 4AM potty break. I'm not there now, so I can eschew the bubble wrap. Everything I need at my place is on the main level except the laundry, which I can ignore for a while.
With the colonoscopy, my med choices are rather limited, Tylenol has never been much of a fav of mine, and that's all I can have now.

I think I cracked a rib over the summer when I fell down. Hurt like hell for about 3 weeks. I sympathize, man.

Well over a week, just checked, about 12 days.
At least I can get comfy to sleep.
After a week of no improvement in the pain, started to suspect the cracked rib scenario. I've been spared till now, have some relatives plagued with them.
