The meaning of Atheism.

RE: The meaning of Atheism.
Actually, Shell B, "You are a fuck" doesn't have to indicate anger, it just doe rather often. But it could technically just be used in jest, or some other context. Smile

Dictionaries were made so that we no longer had to have such frivolous conversations. We can now use those words to have bigger, better conversations.
No I think you've got me wrong there, I didn't mean to suggest it would always be stimulating. I think it would be demanding and very frustrating at times and could lead to a lot of anxiety among all the participants (given that this appears to be an issue, would this help?). Ultimately being free of a load of disparate one-liners in the OED would definitely liberating - not if you can't let go of that security blanket though.

Sorry mate, you're too much hard work. I get a headache trying to follow your tortuous and contrary arguments. Angel Cloud

Friends? Me? .I have two,and one ex wife, Crune Punt, whom I loathe. One friend I've known 35 years. he lives 20 minutes away. The other I've known for 43 years. She lives in London. I see her once every 5 years or so. I usually feel like punching the bossy cow's lights out after about 20 minutes. My brother came over today, for third time this year.,I try to keep visitors to a manageable level; not more than one every three months max.

You mean my straightforward and coherent arguments, surely. I'd suggest the headache comes more from the emotional tension caused by challenging conventional ideas. I'd concede that.

Did you really say "I take you, Crune Punt, to be my lawful wedded wife"? Actually I lapsed for a moment there as I thought I might be missing something so I Googled Crune Punt to see if she was an American Soap character or a little-known Greek Goddess and discovered that there is no such person, apart from one that this geezer keeps talking about on Atheist Forums who keeps talking about the said Ms. Punt in the most degrading and defamatory terms. I hope she has a good lawyer.

PS What about my arguments?

Existentialist, you have appeared to hijacked this thread.

You claim to have 'straightforward and coherent arguments' and then argue against the widely used definitions of words, this is not starightforward or coherent it is just mudding the water.

Which is an old theist trick.

Existentialist my arse, you're a christian arent you?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Hijacked? I have taken it by violence and demanded that it be moved to a destination of my choice? (Or at least, that's what it says in my dictionary. In your dictionary the definition of 'hijacked' seems to be "the act of posting numerous rational arguments which other contributors feel the need to voluntarily respond." Now let me guess, do you have a similar definition of the word troll?). I think 'hijacked' is a tad hyperbolic, to be honest.

On the contrary, it is an 'old theist trick' to claim that a book contains the indisputable truth. Arguing against 'widely used definitions of words' (how widely, by the way?) is a characteristic of a radical atheist stance.

Your arse is an existentialist?

I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm using friggin' expletives (whatever that big ole word means)! For future reference, fuck is an adjective, verb and noun. For example, "I'm so fucking happy." "I like fucking." and "You are a fuck." Only the last one indicates anger. If you could find it in yourself to read the words in context, we may be able to avoid these emotional misunderstandings. I know it's hard, what with you being so smart and me being so ignorant and all.
Good afternoon Shell. How's the hangover?
