DNA/ancestry

RE: DNA/ancestry
My sister did it. We're part German Shepherd, part Irish Wolfhound, and part Siamese.
If The Flintstones have taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.

I think the only real valid reason would be to check medical history/potential problems with health. Your line as far as name doesn't change the fact our species going back far enough have the same common ancestors.

RE: DNA/ancestry
Some people find that they have a closer connection to those ancestors armed with that knowledge.  Others want to verify family histories....and those guys get surprised alot, apparently, "I have native in my family line" usually means "I have black in my family line". Gives me a great idea....maybe white supremecists should have compulsory dna tests when they inevitably get picked up for hate crimes and harassment, lol..just so they know?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

More than a few, but they don't know that.  It was common at one point to hide damaging pedigrees by reference to plausible and less embarrassing miscegenation.  The "cherokee princess "of many family's oral histories was probably a househand from west africa.

We're 50% primate, 50% alien of course.

We are all missing links!

No, but I definitely want to take one of the tests in the future.

I've never taken a DNA ancestry test, and never will unless there's a clear and significant gain to be had from it. I don't see much of point in shelling out upwards of $100 to discover I'm _% whatever, if there's no cash, crown, or prize involved.

Not sure how it would change my bottom line, otherwise.
