I can hardly wait for Last Week Tonight to return in February. I'm expecting some snarky British humour at its peak performance from John Oliver.  Big Grin

I won't pretend I am not scared, but I won't fear fear. Thank you for posting this. Trump has to know, it would be stupid for him to ignore that he is being watched and if that fucker doesn't get on a tight leash and soon, he will pay. I think he and the GOP double down on their bullshit because they know the past is leaving them behind so they have to lie and sell bullshit utopias and scare their far right voters to win.

THANK YOU! You do as well as Trevor give me some hope that we can get through this.

True. I almost hope he gets re-elected so I can watch him shrug off the last remnants of even pretending to be presidential. We owe it to ourselves as a nation to get one inauguration in which the President appears in a gold lame Elvis outfit.

I really do think that Trump getting elected and the Republicans running rampant and passing regressive policies is going to be the worst thing that's ever happened to them.  After they've screwed enough people and Trump keeps screwing up they'll get voted out in 2018 and 2020, that is, if the Democrats actually put up someone worth voting for which a few conspiracy theories about email won't derail their campaign. But once they work hard to take us back to 1950 that will be it for them.

Well at least people will have something to laugh as they are choking during airpocalypse.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
