See your point and it is ironic. However...
The problem with the left is they actually think it's impossible for someone to be an illegal alien, because they don't believe in national borders and therefore it's impossible in their minds to illegally cross a border that doesn't really exist. Which is also why they are against the wall. This is why the left is so confused over the immigration issue. Trump is against illegal immigration not immigration. Key word being illegal, which is what Trump is talking about. It's kind of like owning a movie theatre and charging customers to watch a movie, and then you have some people that sneak in without paying through a back door. Obviously you know this, but really there are people on the left that can't grasp the difference and it's mind boggling.
You can come in on worker visas legally, and people are fine with that. That's how silicon valley attracts talent.
