Hi, from woodenpallet. I just joined this forum, and this is my introductory post, so I guess I should introduce myself and make myself at home... *reaches into the fridge*

I think you'll find that I don't need to talk about myself to much. I joined because--well--it seemed like a good idea to join the forum. After browsing for a while, I liked the content that I saw. Too often, an Atheist forum will focus too much on religion. It's nice to be a little more easygoing than that.

Hmm...you'll notice that I've put "None" for my religion. Don't mistake that for "atheist". In my case, None means that I don't identify with a reliigion/worldview. That includes Atheism. For future reference.

Soo... yeah. Nice to be here. Anybody here like to play Magic: The Gathering? Awesome game, innit?

Atheism is not a 'worldview', either. It is just a word that indicates a lack of belief in deities. Do you believe in a deity? If not, then... you are an atheist, whether you want the label or not.

Yeah, I agree with Paul. atheism is merely the disbelief in god(s)/goddess(es). that is the only thing that necessarily unites us. the reason I put none was because atheism isn't a religion and that's what it asks.
I only play Magic a little, only because the guys who I've dated or have had a crush on me play. but I just like looking at the pictures.

Thanks for the welcomes. The way I see it, if you're going to claim that atheism is not a worldview/religion, then you shouldn't be putting the word under your username as an answer for your "Religious View".

Something's gotta give. Just saying.

The way I see it... putting 'none' for your "Religious Views" indicates that you do not have any views about religion... and if that were true, you would never have joined an atheistic forum community.

I list myself as'Atheist' on these forums to indicate that I do not believe in deities. That is my view on religion.

That debate has been had. Welcome to the forums. I don't play MTG anymore, but I just came into 20k cards that I'm trying to get rid of. Hopefully they'll be gone tonight.
