Except that Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor as illustrated in the parable of the good Samaritan.  
Show me how the bible says it would be okay for me to murder you.

There's tons of verses encouraging it through the OT and Jesus says in the NT that he hasn't come to change it... and that he doesn't come to bring peace he comes to bring a sword.

And Christians literally resort to "Oh it's a metaphorical sword of love."

Yeah, not to mention that it is expected for messiah to bring world world wide peace and yet Jesus distinctly says that he does not bring peace. I mean what a fake!! Here's that prophecy from Isaiah 2:4: "And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."

Well he did bring sword all right he did manage to divide people into many Christian denominations who then took swords and other weapons against each other. I mean talk about the failure.
