My parents were pastors when I came out as atheist. In order to "help" me, they decided to do some research. This research lead them to abandon their own faith. Sometimes coming out turns out much better than expected. Smile

I'm an asshole when I argue so I keep all my "controversial" beliefs to myself, unless someone really wants to talk about it, lol.

But yeah OP, consider your pros and cons and decide for yourself if it's worth it. Only you know what's best for you.

Think of something that would really annoy them. Leave literature around that would suggest you were into that thing. eventually they will confront you deny that thing but say "but I am an atheist" the relief may just see you through.

5 to 10 min into the Sunday service excuse yourself to go pee and never return. After two or three weeks they will realize the futility. Religious parents don't like family drama scenes in church.
