Nah that questions easy . It was the egg . Still don't know why people think it's such a paradox

Well, oviparity (egg laying) evolved something over 200 million years ago. Chickens were domesticated from jungle fowl about 10 000 years ago. Thus, the egg came first, and by a considerable margin.

The debate over eggs being good or bad for you

It depends.

If you're a growing child they're definitely good for you.

If you're lacking in nutrition they're definitely good for you.

If you have an egg with toast and orange juice you've got every vitamin and all the nutrition you need right there.

Then on the other hand eggs contain a lot of extra fat and crap you don't need, too.

To paraphrase Dr. Steven Novella,
All the nutritional research boils down to this: eat a variety of foods, mostly plants.

Really? Wow. While 200 mill is too late of course, 500 mill sounds very early! Is the egg-laying back then homologous to today's verterate egg laying?

Vertebrate egg laying is directly descended from that early egg laying.

Yes, the earliest known pretty fish like vertebrates that likely laid eggs fish style arose around 500 million years ago.

Too much of anything is bad for you.  And if you're starving it doesn't matter how many eggs you eat they will only help.
