The Trump Effect inspires radical Christians in military

RE: The Trump Effect inspires radical Christians in military
You know there was that scene in "Sergeant York" where York is this true Christian that doesn't want to go to war because killing people is against the Bible and then they make him look better in the Bible and actually use the Bible to reason killing people

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

RE: The Trump Effect inspires radical Christians in military
Here is what is the most frightening thing about a Dominionist military: trained and armed men and women, brainwashed into a religion that makes no bones about destroying the "undesirables" and "enemies of God."  Who are those enemies?  Who defines who are "undesirables"?  What is to be done with those "undesirables"?  Have any of you heard or read what the Dominionists think about people they do not like, such as gays and atheists, and people of non-Christian religions?  These theocrats look at people who do not accept their version of Jesus as less than dirt, and mark my words, if they gain complete control over the government of the United States then it is game over.  There will be another holocaust and perpetual war to build a Dominionist led American Empire.

This is exactly why I fear for my people, the seculars, atheists, freethinkers.  This is exactly why I have been arguing for and promoting the formation of secular militias and an aggressive anti Conservative and anti Dominionist movement.   We will find ourselves in a situation where we will have targets on our back.   We all had better wake up and move towards protecting ourselves.  And we better start doing it NOW!

Christian Dominionists are Dead Serious About Overthrowing Democracy: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/6/2/1...-Democracy
Quote:“Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ-to have dominion in the civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness.
But it is dominion that we are after. Not just a voice.

It is dominion we are after. Not just influence.

It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time.

It is dominion we are after.

World conquest. That’s what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle for anything less.

If Jesus Christ is indeed Lord, as the Bible says, and if our commission is to bring the land into subjection to His Lordship, as the Bible says, then all our activities, all our witnessing, all our preaching, all our craftsmanship, all our stewardship, and all our political action will aim at nothing short of that sacred purpose.

Thus, Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land – of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ. It is to reinstitute the authority of God’s Word as supreme over all judgments, over all legislation, over all declarations, constitutions, and confederations.”

Death Penalty For Gays And Rebellious Teens: http://listverse.com/2015/03/22/10-plans...r-america/
Quote:Being a worshiper of false gods (i.e., non-Christian) is not the only capital crime under Mosaic Law, besides murder and rape. Dominionists believe those deserving the death penalty include homosexuals, children who struck their parents, brides who were unchaste before marriage, juvenile delinquents, psychics (“false prophets”), adulterers, and blasphemers. Executions would be made public with full participation of the community, like square dances and quilting bees. Gary North prefers stoning as the method of killing because stones cost nothing and are readily available.North laments that our humanist society paints the Mosaic Law as barbaric. He himself has no problems executing rebellious teens: “The integrity of the family must be maintained by the threat of death.” What’s more, North says that those accusing a suspect of a capital crime must be among the executioners. For citizens to arm themselves in self-defense is a mark of their judicial sovereignty, North asserts, something gun control advocates want to take away. He extends this concept of judicial sovereignty to executions. He doesn’t want people to delegate the task to agents of the state. Participation in public executions is “an act of citizenship.” How does this system propose to deal with perjury and false accusation? Perjury would be considered a crime against the accused, not against the court as in the present system. False witnesses will suffer the same penalty supposed to be imposed on the accused had they been found guilty. North believes that the Mosaic system of justice will actually reduce perjury in courts.

Yes, this is indeed frightening.  It scares me.  People like this, who are violently intended, whose motivation is religious zealotry, and who are organized to take over.  Remember, these people are Dominionists, they want to take over government to help bring Jesus back.  These people are the American version of the Taliban.

So how should we all respond?  Brush it off?  That would be a mistake.  Wish it away or hope these people are just kidding or hope they die down?  Another mistake.  Try to make peace with them, get them to join hands with us atheists and freethinkers and try to sing kum-ba-ya?  Another big mistake.  Listen folks!  These Conservative Republican Dominionists ARE AT WAR WITH US!!  Do not make the mistake of thinking that they are not a serious threat.  They are a threat.  They mean to do you and me harm.  WE MUST NOT ALLOW THEM TO HARM US!!

We must defend ourselves against the Dominionists.  This is war.  We must all join together for common defense...Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, agnostics, gays, lesbians, all seculars and even Christians who are not Dominionists.  This is war.  We all have targets on our backs.  This is war.

We seculars must join together, organize, and become aggressive.  The only proper response to Dominionism is confrontation.

You all better think about  this.  All of us Americans seeing this fascist shit before our eyes need to get over the shock and fight these bastards.  And those of you in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, etc. better get yourselves prepared too.  Because they are coming to your countries.  The Extreme Right is growing world wide, and they are informed by Dominionism.  And after you all have thought about it, and if you agree that these are times where we must no longer sit idly by, then you must act.  Form the militias!  Prepare for not just your defense and the defense of your families.  Prepare to defend your people.  This is war.
