It's the mobile theme. Perhaps Adrian can put a link to revert to the normal theme on an ipad.

They are working on it. For now, you can override the theme change in the UserCP Options: http://atheistforums.org/usercp.php?action=options

Uncheck the option "Use a mobile version if I visit from a mobile device".
