The Gloomy, Rainy Day Music Thread

The Gloomy, Rainy Day Music Thread
Title says it all.

It's officially winter here.  It's cloudy and raining and there's a cold blast supposedly coming through over the weekend.

Inspired by the people bitching about the weather in the "What's everyone up to..." thread.

Except our very own tentacle admin: hope you enjoy the sunny weather while you have it.

Here in the factory in Melbourne, I've got 2 thick pairs of socks on and USB powered heated insoles!

Wow, that is not what I expected, I guess I go a little darker.

Aqualung (song/album) always got played.

Not gloomy but my favorite wintery day song:

I could probably find something darker and gloomier but that's the first rain song that sprang to mind after the Eurythmics.

Never listened to Jethro Tull...

I was kind of a weird kid, and I strictly liked smooth jazz/new age/etc. Those were three faves whose titles allude to inclement weather.

I may have heard some of their music, but not associated it to them.

Anyway, come on!  try to burn the heretic!

I DARE you.

If I want music to match the mood of the weather, Stars of the Lid or other drone music usually works, regardless of whether the title alludes to inclement weather.

That's easy. Naked + Beach + 12  day time hours. Hell, I'll bet you'd volunteer for that on your own.
