Yeah; I contacted him a while back and invited him to join us here, and he basically said he'd love to only he's going to be busy doing that.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Admirable of him but I'd just leave that dumpster fire and get the hell out of Dodge.

Nah, it's best for us to fight it out. Ain't no other way change will happen, bud.

Meh. I'm of the 'let the gangrenous limb fall off on its own' school. Let that shit get Darwin Award-ed.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

I'm a Texas native, and while I may not end my life here, I sure plan on changing things while I'm here. Surrenders rarely produce victories.

I guess you'd know more about it to make the call on whether it's a lost cause since you're at ground zero. Good luck to you.

It's not so bad as mass media makes it sound. There's a lot of work to do, no doubt, but stereotypes aren't always trustworthy.

Well if voting patterns are resulting in this and that, it does warrant raising an eyebrow.

I'm pretty sure I said above that things need changing, yeah.

Where we disagree is that I know change can't occur if nonbelievers such as myself run away, and I know that letting the limb fall off (does that mean evicting us from the Union? I'm not sure) is not really an option. Secession won't happen, not only because of the precedent set by the Civil War, but also because most Texans don't support it.

Like it or not, you're stuck with our 38 Electoral College votes. Changing the often-backwards views down here is in your interest, too.

Hey, the South didn't collapse into the sea like Bill Hicks' dream of Arizona Bay, there would still be land and resources to make use of after. And that we hadn't abandoned the electoral college centuries ago is probably a more pressing problem.
