Hinge time
I am a little sad that we will eventually create full dive VR, live for longer time, and be able to enjoy incredible things. Yet we will die before we can live it.

It makes me happy, though, that we can work towards building the future.

This is how I feel regarding my position in the world right now. Incredible looking future, but wont be able to enjoy. Fuck this shit. Born too soon to enjoy VR, too late to explore the world. At least I can enjoy the prime era of pornography and masturbate everyday watching japanese cartoons.

Wondeful time to be alive.

RE: Hinge time
I enjoy VR right now. I just open my front door-- and there it is, in Ultra-HD hi fidelity!

Now, the quests involved are a little onerous. For example, if you want the full smells and sensations of sex, you have to really nail your social interaction scripts with people or find a way to get your hands on copious amounts of the virtual value called "money." But it's all out there to be experienced if you can unlock enough levels!

I would prefer a VR in which I can live my dreams and the dreams of other people. Have no interest in sex with 3D women. And the currency called "money" is definitely not well balanced.

*bold mine

You seem to have no idea how weird vivid my dreams are, oh well, it's your choice after all Tongue

As for the future, well I'd rather enjoy the present as future from my past's perspective than worry about missing out on uncertain things.

Right, we simply open our door and step onto the holodeck..Smile
PS- but unlike the Enterprises's holodeck, maybe our memories are temporarily erased so that we don't know that we're in 'Holodeck Program Earth'?..Smile
