An interesting question is how many of them REALLY believe this stuff vs. how many of them play the role to appeal to certain voters. I'd be astonished if Bush or Palin knew even a fraction of what was in the Bible. Bush probably thinks the Holy Spirit is the wine served at communion.

Bill Maher is a bit tediously ranty after a while, but he's basically right. It's scary what the people running America (or Britain, in the case of Tony Blair) actually believe.
