I don't understand moderates

I don't understand moderates
I respect that they (most of them at the very least) don't hate on other sects, religions or seculars, but I don't understand their world view. Why don't any moderates say anything about the rule that only men can be priests? If they don't see their religion as better, why do so many of them raise their kids to be their religion? Why aren't many of them willing to leave their religion?

Because they've made compromises which they are content with. That's life. Meh.

Compartimentalisation of knowledge is the breedingground of hypocrisy.

Sadly, none of us are immune. Though some get trapped more than others.

RE: I don't understand moderates
I mean that they hold contradicting beliefs. They believe their own version of this fairy tale is the right one. But they also believe that everyone's faith or 'right to faith' is equal.
They believe in equality between genders, maybe. But also accept the dogma of their stories, telling them there are certain things men and women can and can not do.
Depending on the situation, they put on a different hat. Or more accurately, acces a different part of their mind holding a different part of their beliefs.

And we all do this. I can't tell how I am hypocritical, because it is, in essence, a blind spot. But I'd be surprised if I weren't holding onto contradicting beliefs on the matter of anything.

He also means everybody cherry picks in all aspects of life. We're all humans, and no human is perfect.

How can every single human being be hypocritical?

They might label themselves moderate because it sounds better than "I don't really believe but I'm afraid to leave religion/faith."
