RE: The Archaeology of Poo
. . . smells like soup . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I can't imagine that it is an over-crowded field.

One year at Purdue I helped set up a field full of rotting corpses. Funded by the FBI.

And none of them were human.  Just thought I'd toss that in.

Your midden class sounds like fun.

It's done with human cadavers as well, to train agents.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Yep. Mike Rowe's "Dirtiest Jobs" did an epi on this kind of thing. Bugs infest a cadaver at different points in the decay process, so if you see Stinking Red Bugs on a body you know it's been there X days.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Ancient poo from an ancient loo...

I smell a song lyric in this.
If The Flintstones have taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.
