No he didn't.  All conservatives (that support this move) just wish that it was okay to do it because they're either A. Stupid or B. Racist or C. Both.
Of course conservatives often do thinks cops are above the law.  Them and rich people.  Laws only apply to poor people and minorities.  I wonder why... Oh right, B.

He quite literally did not uphold the law. If you call yourself a conservative, you should be happy when the courts reign in the power of elected officials. Is the Constitution not the law of the land? The (conservative, I might add) courts ruled unanimously that Arpaio violated the Constitution. He decided that his way was better than the law.

Are you so blind in your "Republican" identity that no matter what the cost, you'll side with someone who openly, brazenly, and proudly defies the rule of law solely because you agree with their politics?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

He did uphold the law. Some liberal political figures just didn't like how he did it.

What he was just pardoned for..was being found in criminal contempt of the law, by disregarding a federal court order.....that he and his deputies cease to engage in unconstitutional racial profiling.  They didn't even deny that they'd violated the federal order, they claimed that they had, somehow, violated the order accidentally........

I'm just not seeing how that's upholding the law by anyone's definition? Where on earth did you get the idea that his conviction was about liberals not liking the way he upheld the law?

Sure, Arpaio is an asshole but he has shown what could possibly happen if all of the cops in the country do what he did in regard to rounding up suspected Hispanic illegal aliens based simply on their appearance. That may not have been his original intent but, since a lot of citizens want illegal aliens deported, such bad behavior by the cops would be national.

Remember, Hispanics have been American citizens since the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848. That's 17 years before black people became citizens and 76 years before American Indians became citizens. Do you realize how difficult it is for some citizens to prove that they are actually natural born citizens?

Arpaio did what the Feds want all cities and States to do, help find the illegal aliens so that they can be deported. If that's our national policy crap will happen.

Your attitude has nothing to do with being republican.  Some other labels are much more fitting.

Come on. He was convicted of upholding the immigration laws as it was written after he was told not to. He wasn't charged with racial issues or laws, abuse of power, or criminal activity. He was charged for doing his job.
If people don't like the laws, they should be changed. You can't just tell a law enforcement officail "I don't like that one. Overlook that one."

No, he was convicted of criminal contempt of a federal court order.

Not that facts matter to the dwindling number of supporters, like you, to whom Trump pandered with this shameful pardon.
