Innocent banana eaters hanging their peels in trees at Ole Miss in order to avoid(?) littering?

I don't know if the littering college student meant to send a racist message or not - either scenario seems plausible at this point. People do some real dumb things with their litter sometimes, especially lazy 20 year olds who are at school with no mommy or daddy to pick up after them.

I could be wrong with this but I throw banana peels on the floor in wooded areas because nature takes its course.
I don't actually consider it littering or bad for the environment apart from the little label on the banana.
In relation to the racism bit though I can see the outrage of the nooses and the harambe bait but not at all in relation to the lone banana.

If there was a trash can right there I'd rather put the skin on the floor, it makes no sense to wrap send the skin to a landfill site when it should be used as nutrients for the ground.

Please ignore the fucked up layout of this post. I'm on my phone and can't correct it.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Considering they were both deliberate I can . And without or without the noose I could see implication when taken in context.

Deliberate in what sense?

It's been reported a student put it there . As Thena323 pointed out.

Yeh the student admitted he did it. But he claims not because of racism.

That's that, then. His testimony is all the evidence we nee, I hear.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

But without knowing that .And with the other instances . Was it unreasonable for some to question if it was? . I for one don't think it was .

If your referring to the student . I  accept that he likely did it thou it might not be so. As to his motivation i'm less sure.

Not unreasonable for some to question if it was racism.
Unreasonable for there to be outrage about the incident in and of itself.

I don't know if t was racism or not I can't read the persons mind. He said yeh I did it and I didn't mean to be racist apparently, I don't know anything about him, he could have killed ten black prostitutes, carved swasticas on them and slapped a banana skin against a tree as a final insult for all I know.

If I consider the other instances . Even if it's not a noose . I find it perfectly reasonable . If they didn't know the reason he put it there.

It's true that its questionable as being racist, and I can see your point there.
But in a situation with no overt evidence of racist intentions I think it's reasonable enough to assume innocence unless there is evidence to prove otherwise.
