I don't see the big deal. You're strapped down. Unless you have vertigo I doubt anything bad is gonna happen to you.

...until somebody screws up the maintenance and/or repair, and you get heaved out of the thing, and end up dead <splat>, like happened recently on a ride.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I get the heaves just watching the vid.  Can't tell but I assume there will be sluices and automatic fire hoses to flush away all the vomit.

puk-o-lator video

People are sick.

I can't even stomach the Tilt-a-whirl.  🙄

A mathematical analysis of a tilt-a-whirl ride reveals it was fiendishly designed to display chaotic motion when in operation.  If the deck spun slightly faster or slower, the ride would by predictable and repeatable.  As it is, it is exquisitely sensitive to the weight and position of the riders in the cabs, and the precise location on the tilting track at start up, the precise acceleration of the ride at start up (which would be affected by the mass of the other riders), and even wind blowing in different directions and speeds would be a factor, also, the temperature as it would affect, for instance, the viscosity of the grease in the bearings and pivots of the ride.

This exquisite sensitivity to conditions is a hallmark of a chaotic system, and it also explains the horrid nature of the rides this foul device inflicts on it's victims.

Sounds killer to me.

I always preferred the long and fast standard rollarcoasters. Can't stand the upside down thingies.

Not because they're scary, they're not. They're just an unpleasant experience.

It's a tie for best rollarcoaster for me, between Oblivion (Which takes you right up and then drops you down) and Air (which is like a standard fast and long rollarcoaster track..... except you are lying down and your arms and legs aren't strapped in, so you can feel like you're flying (when I did it, I spent the whole time shouting "Yippie ki-yay motherfuckers!" as I soared past. That was fun). Both from Alton towers. They're exhilarating as hell. Love them.

Other than those two rollarcosters though, others are either dull by comparison or just unpleasant and annoying, for me (I always end up thinking "I came here to get a thrill, not to puke. If puking was a thrill I'd become bulimic.").

Looks like fun!

The rides that really terrify me are the ones at the top of space needles in various cities.

I would without a doubt ride that.

I would so much rather review the finite element analysis of the structure of the ride than to actually ride the damn thing.
