Things you're supposed to like, but don't

Are there things (can be anything from arts to food, activities, places etc.) which you always thought you have to like or admire or enjoy for some reason (because everyone does, it's fashionable, expensive, culturally important, or your teacher told you so, etc...) but you simply don't?

Interesting! While I have zero interest in Pokémon, I really look forward to reading HP to my kids. I have only seen the movies and love the escapism. Why don't you like it?

I have a few of these.
So I identify as a Nerd (physics and maths fetish, spent my late childhood with my soldering iron and wrote computer programs with pen and paper during youth camp and the girls laughed at me for reading up on relativity), I have telescopes and wrote a version of ping pong on my calculator when I was bored in class. I think I qualify. The Big Bang Theory tells me I should like Comic Books. I have less than zero interest in Comic books. Almost an aversion to them.

I don't like having a good dress sense or a mediocre half-arsed music taste (people who say they "love" music and they basically.... watch music videos a couple of times a year, like hearing the odd song come on a radio and are more interested in the lyrics (their "favorite" song also changes every 5 seconds and it's basically whatever's number 1 in the charts at the time) than the actual music or singing. I wouldn't call that "love" music).
...TL;DR: the first half of the last half of my answer was me being self-deprecating, and the second half of the last half of my answer was me being a grumpy snarky bastard.

Star Wars with Rey. I like daisy Ridley, I like Star Wars, I like the concept of Star Wars with Daisy Ridley, I hate Star Wars with Daisy Ridley playing Rey.
And I hate BB7.
Come to think of, everything I like at all in any of the other Star Wars, I hated in episold 7.

Haven't had a TV hooked up since I moved out of my parents' in 2000. TV get dumber every time I take a peek. Good riddance.
