You didn't like the first ever ST movie with bald & beautiful Persis Khambatta?! V'ger? New state of the art 80's Enterprise! with no analogue dials! What's not to love?

I watched the first Star Trek at the cinema with my family.
Half way through mum's water broke and we had to leave. Next day I had a new baby brother. :-)

What's not to love? Not at all. Reread what I said. I like all the originals Star Treks. I just think the first is the worst, not the 5th. All are good and worth watching, to me. In that same vein, I don't think the 4th, or the 7th, Harry Potter is the worst, I personally dislike the 3rd the most, but I will still happily watch and enjoy all 8. Ps. The big one for me: Sports. Football in America is so huge, but I just hate it. I'm more indifferent to the rest. I enjoy parts of the Olympics, but I'd rather watch the weather channel than regular sports on TV.

Oasis, bananas, pizzas, sex with women, KFC, ecstasy, Metallica.
These are some of the things my brain refuses to accept as truth when people say they don't like them. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. 
Fucking birthdays.
They are an utterly arbitrary date that everyone expects you to make something special out of. And they're liability because you also have to remember everyone else's arbitrary date at least a couple of days beforehand so you can send a card which will get thrown away after a few days. Then on the day you have to phone them up and talk about something. On my birthday it means that I end up wasting my entire evening after work making small talk because everyone feels obligated to do it. I've started unplugging the phone so people assume that I am out celebrating and they can feel happy that they have at least tried to do their bit. Problem is that it can be an entire week or two before I remember to plug it back in again. Yes, I have just forgotten a close relative's birthday and my own one is coming up, just to remind myself that I am a year older. 
Sport (any) I am one of the rare males with zero interest in watching sport, one team scores more than the other ... so what? how does it affect me?
When I was young and (slightly) fit I did a lot of climbing (in winter, ice axe and crampons) but I did it, I never expected anyone to enjoy watching me do it Most lager beers, in general they are too cold, too gassy and have little flavour, give me a decent bitter where I can taste the hops! Fashion, who decides what style is "in" this year? For me the only thing that matters in clothing is comfort and practicality
