Excuse me bartender, can you spare me a game?

RE: Excuse me bartender, can you spare me a game?
I understand why the players started kneeling. I was sitting for the anthem at events years before Kap started kneeling. My way of showing I don't like how close we are to 1984, even though I love my country. I completely understand the kneeling/ sitting thing, and as long as the players can get away with it, good for them I say. There are more important things to worry about and rail against than some business owner not having his TV turned to the "right" channel though. Fuck him if he doesn't want to play the game. There are other places to see the game, or just watch it at home, so lesson learned. Don't go there anymore if you want some football with your alcohol.

No sorry, not at this point in history, not with the asshole we have in the White House right now.

There is nothing more important than sticking up for your fellow citizen, regardless of being a minority, regardless of being labor.

To not object right now, when it is clear that one man, and one party wants to turn back the clock, not only would be foolish, it is down right dangerous.

I wish the right could be laughed off, I wish 45 could be ignored, but currently we cant ignore it, nor should we.

I did the right thing, without hesitation I told the bartender the players make the owners rich, then I waked out.

If you value minorities and labor, that is the right thing to do.

And I would love to watch every Redskins game in my house, but I live out of market, but no, just like cable, and even in person ticket stadium prices nationwide, it is bullshit what they charge. Bars are the only place I can go. So when you say find another place to go, what do you think I am going to do next week?

I am NOT going back to that asshole's joint.

I agree that you did the right thing by walking out. Nothing wrong with making your point known by hurting the owners pocket. And no, I don't think you should just ignore Trump when he says things that you take issue with, or that you should just laugh it off. Trump is an evil man with too much power, so of course he should not be ignored, but the bar owner isn't an extremely powerful person, nor is he causing much harm in the real world by not turning his TV to a certain channel.

How do I propose you watch the games? I don't know. Maybe this is just a sacrifice that you will have to make. Maybe this can be your way of supporting the kneeling players. They knelt, which meant that the bar owner stopped playing the games, which in turn means that you can no longer watch your team play. Just think of it this way. You are sacrificing the entertainment you got from watching the games, in order to support the players protest. Seems like a fair trade off since like you said, it is just a game afterall, and things like people hurting and suffering injustice is far more important than some game.
