About nudity
Humans are the only animals on Earth who produce clothes. Other animals may wear clothing only if we dress them up. Also humans are the only animals who feel ashamed if not wearing clothes. Why are we ashamed of our own bodies? Babies don't feel ashamed if naked and there have been tribes that wear little to no clotes.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not claiming that we should stop wearing clothes, they protect us from high or low temperatures, filth and other things and they can look good (what looks good is subjective, of course). But should we feel ashamed if it happens to be seen naked?

RE: About nudity
Because we are the only "animals" with the intelligence to have an awareness of nakedness and sexuality, and to be sexually aroused by seeing the opposite sex' genitalia. Babies don't have this awareness or this sentiment, which explains why they don't care about being naked or seeing others naked.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Going to go with "no", but results may vary depending on upbringing.

The "shame" is programmed in, it's not natural.

And to clarify, I'm not saying that we should or should not be ashamed. I'm just explaining why we care about covering up when other animals and babies dont.

Wait..what?  No, that's why people made clothes -in the bible-..not in real life.  In real life, we made clothing to protect us from the elements.......................

Because we're the only animals taught to be ashamed of our nudity. Mostly thanks to religions.

Anyone in the mood for poetry?

"On Clothes"  by Kahlil Gibran

Your clothes conceal much of your beauty, yet they hide not the unbeautiful.
And though you seek in garments the freedom of privacy you may find in them a harness and a chain.
Would that you could meet the sun and the wind with more of your skin and less of your raiment,
For the breath of life is in the sunlight and the hand of life is in the wind.

Some of you say,"It is the north wind who has woven the clothes we wear."
And I say, Ay, it was the north wind,
But shame was his loom, and the softening of the sinews was his thread.
And when his work was done he laughed in the forest.
Forget not that modesty is for a shield against the eye of the unclean.

And when the unclean shall be no more, what were modesty but a fetter and a fouling of the mind?
And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

***Gibran is one of my favorites. I think he makes a good point at the end. I interpret it to mean that we wear clothes so that perverts don't stare at us. But if nobody ever wore clothes, then we wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. There would be nothing for them to "perv on" since nudity would be commonplace.

Culture and religion are the culprits.

Personally, I like keeping some stuff a mystery from the public eye. It makes the end zone more exciting. I don’t think we should be ashamed, though.

RE: About nudity
Well, we're also one of the few land mammals who doesn't have fur or hair covering our entire bodies.

Clothing likely developed originally as a way to protect us from the elements, especially when the world started cooling down in the Ice Age or when our ancestors moved into colder climates from the African savannah where we likely originated.

The shame is generally cultural, often reinforced through religion.

And, it seems, I have NO shame! (My mother was right!)
