I never have been religious and fortunately it was never forced upon me by my parents. I don't know how my father felt about religion
nor care, but my mother was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school. She would talk about the school in a very negative way but
would only talk about things like the nuns would smell the children's breath to find anyone who had been chewing gum and strict nonsense.
But something sinister must have happened to her because when pressed further about school, she would go silent or say they are not good people.
She forbid my two sisters and I from going to Catholic or Mormon churches but we could go with our friends to any other church.
But I first got turned off from religion while going to a Babtist church with my friend in Sunday school when the class was asked if anyone
had not been saved, so I raised my hand and the teacher saved me. Witch scared the hell out of me, I had no clue what was going on.
I am now 53 years old and have come to the conclusion that the most important things in my life are myself, the Earth, air and water,
without these tangible things I would't exist. And of course my Mother and Father.
