Birthdays are a disaster for diets.

Well, so far, it's going pretty good. I got a new messenger bag (the straps for my old one are starting to fray), Everyman's Library copies of A Hero of Our Time and the Collected Stories of Roald Dahl, along with Volume 5 of Knausgaard's My Struggle, the new collection of the collected works of Washington Philips and also an air compressor. It's a shame that I'll have to wait till Christmas for the Vox VT20X amp, but it's not like I have any pressing need for a new amp in the next 11 days. I'll likely make it a low-key affair, eating at L. Wood's with my Dad.
