LOL

I hope not. Otherwise Richard Dawkins will be highly amused.

Lol I love it when theists are idiots and he gets really frustrated or even angry but when they talk about miracles that are so ridiculous he reacts with amusement instead lol.

I notice he only really gets frustrated when the shit theists believe is both delusional and harmful. So it just goes to show that the people who think Dawkins is an asshole are douchebags. He gets frustrated with creationists and creationism is harmful, and he gets frustrated with people who peach and that's harmful. If people talk about the virgin Mary or crackers being the body or Christ or Muhammad flying to the moon on a winged horse.... he just laughs. Because all that stuff is so ridiculous it's hilarious.

RE: UFOs
I read about this the other day. Personally I don't believe for one second that aliens have ever found us or that we have ever found them. Also, I highly doubt it'll ever happen.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I think it could happen some day, CL. But you and I both agree that it probably hasn't happened yet.

I doubt it ever will. The universe is way too big and everything is way too far apart. Itd be cool though. Interesting to wonder what that thing was on the pilots radar.

CL, discovering other life may contradict that we are God's special children also...

And the last thing we need is children rivalry!
That's what the nukes are for!

I don't think so. God is infinite. If anything it makes sense for there to be much more out there than just us.

That’s a remarkably overarching and definitive belief considering there is but the very sketchiest and most tenuous of evidences on this topic.

As they say, the scope and firmness of belief is usually inversely proportional to the quality and weight of evidence.

Boru

No, they are even more clever and devious than that.  They made their interstellar craft completely invisible, but planted paranoia in human minds so humans see interstellar craft everywhere they look.

Seriously, the only reason I can think of that "aliens" might want to come here is similar to why humans go to freak shows.
