Why are you so interested in rejecting suggestions to exercise control over your own sexuality and respect reasonable limits over your desires?

This comes up pretty regularly. I wonder why so many are so interested in defending porn and masturbation. Don't you want to, you know, have real sex with a real woman?
I'd bet the married Christians here are getting more than the atheists here, but we're called repressed because we prefer real sex to jacking off to internet porn.

I'm wondering why the fuck it is your business what someone does with their privates behind closed doors.

I know in some religious circles watching porn or touching yourself is highly frowned upon and you will be treated like you just murdered hundreds of people.
What's the motive behind all this control?

Having opinions about sexual morality that differ from your own doesn't mean we are being "controlled."
Anyway, as Steve said, if you are actually interested in knowing the answer to your question, the link he shared is a good start, and we can discuss it if you want.
Long story short is we believe sex is a sacred thing that should be reserved as an act of love and life long commitment. (Oh the horror!!)
If you want to masturbate and watch women get paid to get naked and screw random men, go for it I suppose. No one here is saying it should be illegal or that you should go to jail for it. But for our own selves, we believe it morally best to try to steer clear. Simple. I'm not sure why you would take issue with that or say that we are being controlled.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Three theists that are confident that porn and masturbation will lead to and obsession/compulsion that will take over and ruin peoples lives. Maybe threaten their own.
Bunch of dinks.

To be fair, he's not the one who started this thread. He's only responding to it. You do raise an interesting point though, and I think it would be much better applied to the person who actually started this thread.

You might have a point if there were not also physical and mental health effects that affect current and future relationships. Hmmm, if God created us, wouldn't he have known the problems that sexual immorality can create? If half of these things are true, then Jesus' understanding--in the first century--of the human condition is nothing short of remarkable: https://fightthenewdrug.org/3-reasons-wh...s-harmful/

The only reason I can think of is that religion was designed to help you get over your deficency needs. But it didn't had a lot of wise man so its porpouse was misunderstood and lost, they didn't get that religion was reffering to a journey not a state of mind.
