My smilies won't move and I am very sad :(
February 1, 2018 at 5:59 pm
So I used to post here from this site all the time: https://www.pic4ever.com/
As you can see, most of them move, and they always worked just fine when I posted them here before. But for some reason, they won't move anymore. Example, here's this one:
The banana is supposed to be dancing, and it used to do just fine, but now it's just frozen in place. Anyway, I am very sad. Is this something that can be fixed pretty please?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

If it's not a site with a security certificate, the software here will not allow animation (the site address will start HTTPS on a secure site). I had the same experience when Tibs made the changeover, what, a year ago? I had to migrate my favorite .gifs to another site.

Your gif links require an https at the start of the link to the image.
Since AF is in https (secure) mode, anything that's not equally secure doesn't get fetched by the browser. Because of that, whenever we put a normal http link, Tibs implemented a bit of software that copies the image over to an https server and makes it look like the image comes from that secure server.
However, for animated gifs, this copy only uses the initial frame.
How cool, I changed the http on your link to https and it now shows the animation.

CL I give you lots of crap here I know it. But just like my mom, the thought of you being sad, bothers me. Never be sad, especially about dancing bananas, well unless you are Malania, in that case it would be understandable.

Adding the "s" only works for some sites. It doesn't for my main image storage site -- I only get one of those silly blank images, hence my migrating them to another website where it's rendered secure already.

This makes my balls hurt.
