YHWH

RE: YHWH
It's amazing how many of these individuals who "used to be an atheist" don't actually know what atheism entails and try to tack on so many other things to it.

It literally entails nothing.

Thank you.

I just can't be bothered being dragged into a discussion with monkey-boy.

Or should that be "provoked"?

Right. The flippant dismissal of the reasoning ability and work that one had to go through to figure it out only provides them a trite fillip to try out against an atheist. It is annoying, though. "Lord forgive them; they know not what they do!" Big Grin  See, I can do it, too!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

If your idea of 'entailing nothing', is being unconvinced of unsupported, supernatural, claims, then we agree.

Something tells me you might mean something else, though...

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I had a hearty chuckle at "illuminarti." I'm imagining a secret cabal of people trying to rule the world through their use of colored pencils.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Well, they get that from atheists that believed once. Try tu use it to dismiss the fact that most atheists were theists once, by being brought in a theistic rules house.

The biggest problem that they have is that everybody is born atheist, and they know that its impossible to instill atheism on people. There are no baptism for atheista, no sacred rites, no sunday schools, no way to shovel a dogma of atheism because there is none.

I used to be an atheist.

Then I examined the things being offered as evidence for gods.

Now I'm still an atheist.
