When replying to a post
I was wondering if the code genius could make it possible that when quoting a certain post, only the individual whose post it is gets quoted while leaving out any unnecessary content. This prevents us from having to personally edit out what we're not responding to and it might lead to less confusion as far as misquoting on this forum is concerned.

Sorry if I confused you.

It's like this.

Fourth post down. When you hit the quote button, it quotes everything. Instead of that, when quoting, there could be a code implemented where only the author of the post is quoted while what the author quoted is automatically eliminated.

If you quote chimp, his quoting of Vulcan is not included.

Yeah, but that comes in handy sometimes when you want to include the context of the quote you're quoting.

Maybe having a selective quote option in addition to existing way ?

It’s easier to manually edit it out than it would be to edit it in if you do want it

Ok, but the problem is that sometimes a person will have multiple quotes and responses in their post. So if there were a button that removed all the quotes you’d end up with a weird bunch of sentences that don’t flow.

That's when you fix the problem of all quotes going in the same post. It's certainly an issue I've raised before.

I quote someone, it creates a post. I quote another person, it goes in the same post; It's not feasible.
