Dear Losty.

Dear Losty.
Your poem broke my heart.
Such despair of the higher ascended roads,
So what if heaven's judgment is harsh?

I still know you can pick up the skyward sword,
That is a phoenix that drinks from heaven's springs,
You don't need anyone's word,
To know without these you would have longed burned your wings,

Of fear and hope,
Fear protecting what you hold dear,
While hope seeking what is near.
So hold on to that rope.

And shut the chaotic whispers of irrational doubt,
Shut it out, once and for all,
And see with certainty,
In the innermost center of love
,
That values things as they are.
And knows their eternal given worth,
You will make new friends,
As you forge forth.

Remember who you are.
And be true,
That's all that heaven asks of you.

Losty wrote a beautiful stand alone poem that I enjoyed in the moment.

Rumi wrote : "Ours is not a caravan of despair".

MK ! You are depressing! Lighten up, man!
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

Her poem was awesome.

But I don't want her to embrace the winter is all.

Doubt, The Breakfast Of Champions, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB and @brianrrs37 on twitter)

Our vernacular
We respectively use
Are quite different
In our views

The theist uses
The word "hope"
As if the skeptic
Is incapable of

That only above
Our morality handed
By an unseen assertion
Uttered by claim

Not true theist
We use the word too
Hope we have also
For the things we do

Doubt is good
It is why now extinct
That of slavery
Women not having a voting precinct

If of social norms
Our species never questioned
In the caves
We'd still be dwelling

Oh but I do
Understand your intent
Wishing good will
For your fellow human

Where the conflict
Really resides
Isn't from skeptics
But those who deny

Today's modern knowledge
Need not rely
On claims of antiquity
To measure in kind

I've been under
The slithering belly
Of the cobra
Out to kill me

It's just my depression
It can create
A cavern so deep
I feel I cannot  escape

But that darkness is overcome
At least for me the support
Of family and friends
Not mythology

Hope is not lost
On that I agree
But it is not the same use
You think I see

It is not
Of divinity
Not handed to us
But always in us

"We all need"
That famous song said
"Someone to lean on"
But do not fawn

Upon
Unrealistic romance
It may be sexy
But answers it lacks

Doubt is good
Despair can be crippling
But to conquer it
You must value questioning

To understand it
In natural terms
Psychiatry, psychology
Neurology, modern medicine

I have afflictions
Many do
But I don't explain them
With gap filling woo

Just so you know MK, I DO LIKE the intent of offering support in this poem, and the motif of "be yourself". I just don't agree with where you think your ability to do that is coming from. It does flow well too.

Yes, I AGREE!  I just read it. Great job Losty, both from our Taliban member, and the godless kitten barbecuer. Big Grin

Winter is a beautiful death that allows for new life to begin.
