When was "your" good old days?

RE: When was "your" good old days?
Boy the way Hogs did play
Riggins made the hit parade
The Wild Bunch won the game
THOSE WERE THE DAYS

I miss dating my X-wife in college. I felt like I won the Super Bowl when she pursued me.

But what I miss the most, in all seriousness ,is my mom.

A few years in the late 70s

The year I joined AF. Best year ever.

And...

When my grandmother was alive. She meant the world to me and died about three years ago. Heart

My time at university. Learning lots of new things, had a job that could pay the bills comfortably only having to work weekends (20 hours), pretty much had morning classes and afternoons free. I had a '64 Chevy Impala with a special high performance 327, a 4 speed and 3.91 posi, and a '40 Chevy coupe with a 350 engine, 400 turbohydamatic, 3.91 posi and a straight axle up front. The '40 was my dragster. Those were the days- just tearing shit up and having a good time. Met my wife at the university, and sold the '40 to pay for her engagement ring. Money well spent- we've been married 37 years.

It's always now. I can't stand being nostalgic, it's pointless as far as I'm concerned.
Plus, I feel far better and more confident about myself than I ever did in my 20s and 30s.

Um summers of my childhood till I was 14 were pretty decent. I liked the leaving in the morning and not coming back until it was dark. Total freedom.

Life started getting better since I've been with my now husband. The first three years were rough because I was still coping with what my life had been and how to fix it. These last three years though have been wonderful.
