Plus, I feel far better and more confident about myself than I ever did in my 20s and 30s.

Hey, when are you stopping by anyhow?  The garden looks amazing right now and Heidi at least would love to meet you so long as you're a petter.

All righty - check your PMs! Smile

No, I was born in '84.

Just be thankful you were born a savage.

my best old days ... were in primary school Tongue ... I was very good at sports then and I loved it ... I had many friends and it was just great ...the next time it was around 27 when I was an adult but I just remember that those were nice times ... and now, now, now ... even if I have some horrible health problems and sometimes I think life sucks ... now I have one of the best times in my life .... I'm generally happy, I have friends even if only here ... but I have the best one!!  Smile Blush

It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day."

I was born in 1951. We got a house with an indoor toilet in 1957. TV the same year. Never had A/C while I lived at home. Polio and small pox still killed people. If I wanted to talk to someone in Le Harve the operator would call me back when the connection was established. And so on.

Things have gotten progressively better since then. Now I have a cell phone that monitors my heart and calls 9-1-1 if needed, even if I'm unconscious.

Gross!  Oh, that's better.  Without my glasses I thought you wanted me to check my BMs.  (Men don't do that.  We're wusses.)

Now. The kids are still at home but are self-sufficient, i.e. we can get away whenever we want. Sex life is great. Making a good buck and getting out of debt. Just refinanced my mortgage and will be paying it off 6 years earlier than planned. Emotions are under control (I was on booze and other drugs pretty much all the time from age 15 to 30, and there were after effects for years afterward, but it's been a few years now since I've had any issues). I've got the typical aches and pains of aging, but with diet and exercise those can be minimized.

As Carly Simon said: "These are the gold old days." Love that song.
