Like the, "I wonder if I should go to the doctor" sore. I've put on a little weight that I'm determined to lose. I think some things will feel like less of an effort then. My wrist won't support arm balances. I've had to have physical therapy for back spasms. I apparently have a nerve disorder in my fucking face. AND . . . wait, nah, that's it. No dramatic and. Sex life is good. Strength is pretty good. Anxiety is mostly in check. Life is gooooooood.

yes ... unfortunately, certain ailments get worse with age ..meh
But I agree with you, life is good, and most importantly, that sex life is still great .. or even better !!!

I'm glad you feel happy 🌸
Lot's of love in your beautiful life❤️

You're so sweet. Hope you're overflowing with happy too!

I remember when I was a kid, I thought teenagers were old and that people in their thirties were ancient.

Now that I am almost forty, I don't even feel that I am old.  Rather, I feel as though I can comfortably live another forty years.

What is/was your experience with aging?

Do you want the good news or bad news first?

The GOOD news is the older you get the less you give a fuck about what others think.

The bad news is your body gets old, but nobody can avoid that.

Just enjoy your life, and when your body does what it does, regardless. just understand that part is time.

Everyone pretty much said getting old sucks, but in a nice way. That is what I took from this thread.

40? Pff.

If you are over 60, and you woke up in the morning and nothing hurt, you died in your sleepTongue
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

But the 40's and early 50's are not the worst.  That comes around 55.

I think i'm aging well so far. Obviously i don't have the energy, and quickness like i did from ages 25 - 30.

Also it takes my body much longer for it to heal.

Aging fucking sucks.  I'm only a year away from 50.  Which means I can't say 'in my 40's" anymore when people ask me.  I mean I'm already a grandma, but I'd much rather be a grandma in her 40's than in her 50's.  My oldest granddaughter is graduating high school this year.  Of course my oldest biological granddaughter is only starting high school, so that's something.

Worst part about aging is seeing your friends age with you and thinking "What the fuck happened to us?"  Time's a bitch.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

But now when I'm after 40 ... I feel pretty good ... my life started with my 40 ... so being older is not so bad ... and sometimes I feel like my 27 ... even more often than i should hehe😁

This.  Everything about getting older has been a plus except for the physical decrepitude.  For that all you can do is eat well and exercise.  I think we never feel all that different on the inside but the little insecurities which might rule you when you're younger come to feel laughable later.

After reading, I feel like the youngest person on atheist forums (and I'm not even young) surely there are young atheists in the world? (that use forums.... then again probably not, they're probably out taking selfies and stuff)

LOL, yeah, the younger generations aren't too familiar with the term or concept of forums.
