It's starting to make a little more sense now. (not so much big brotherish).

I had "location" turned on on my android smartphone too.
Do gps' work inside buildings though? maybe through wifi?

There's your answer then.

It's how I know you're wearing a green t and those ugly shorts you're so fond of right now...

This is so very possible. Let's just assume that there is a "backstage" where businessmen and elite money giants get to make deals to spy on people in order to get interests out of them; I mean really; facebook was involved in such a deal:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/...-in-russia

So in other words; the society is fucked.

Programming wise; your location can be fetched easily, and the google email can be linked to the fetched GPS.
If an ebay  user like you gets to an approximate distance from the item offered for sale; the email gets send.

There must be an app though, in your phone, that fetches your coordinates and sit waiting for the signal: a device is placed close to the shoe is generating the signal the app needs, probably you gave it permission to access your GPS during installation. If your phone is connected to the internet; then it is very possible that "big brother" knocked your door.

Otherwise; you're just paranoid but it's a healthy paranoia.

Remember: you're the one who gave them your email in the first place. Didn't you sign up?

BTW; in Palestine, the IDF took it to higher levels and assassinated people by blowing up their phones remotely.

Right there is also a possibility to get your location using wifi only

Bolding mine. Dood, they should have left the ordnance package at home while shopping, because phones themselves don't contain explosives.

Ig- one of my sons had this feature on his phone, and it used to beep him while he was in a store, as to where he was, and all kinds of other shit. I keep my phone inside my multiple-times folded aluminum hat, which keeps the radio frequency communications out of contact. yup.

Google often do make mistakes though.

Ebay tried to sell me some naughty ladies lingerie!

Overheat the phone's battery, and you'll cause it to blow.

A bursting battery is highly unlikely to kill someone. Do you have any evidence for any deaths caused this way?

Quote:Poisoned toothpaste that takes a month to end its target's life. Armed drones. Exploding mobile phones. Spare tyres with remote-control bombs. Assassinating enemy scientists and discovering the secret lovers of Muslim clerics.

A new book chronicles these techniques and asserts that Israel has carried out at least 2,700 assassination operations in its 70 years of existence. While many failed, they add up to far more than any other western country, the book says.

OK, a book was written about these techniques. Ig, don't go to Israel or piss off the Israelites, whatever you do! Big Grin
