Wait a tic - does this mean that being an atheist doesn't automatically produce moral behaviour and ethical conduct??
Guess I'd better become a Baptist, since they never, EVER turn out to be horrible people. Boru

If we are looking for an ideological trigger for Silverman's moral depravity, why not focus on the fact that, politically, he is conservative? Yeah, that's it. His atheism has nothing to do with it. It's his politics.
Otherwise we have to assume that one's moral character exists independently of one's worldview. Where's the fun in that? **** On a side note, as much of an idiot as O'Reilly is, I think Silverman could have really done better in that interview. He should have pounced on that ignorant shit. Instead, he was baffled by it, and we got a meme. I think I would have responded to O'Reilly's inane commentary better than Silverman. But then again, I've had an entire lifetime of living in the Appalachians as training to prepare me for such moments.
Fun Fact: I always thought this picture was actor Michael Pena from some movie I didn't see.

Maybe exposure to Bill O'Reilly was the trigger ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
