Lawyers are biased.
Oh, you poor naive boy.
Judges are absolutely biased. In fact I gave you FOUR examples of biased judges. There's many more out there. By taking away lawyers, you give so much power to judges that you've essentially made them all powerful. Not to mention a lot of power to police too. Without a lawyer there's nothing to stop them from coercing a confession out of whoever they want.
You want to look at why we need lawyers: Just watch the John Oliver segment on immigration courts.

I don't like 90% of the legal system, but they are a necessary evil.

I'm old enough to be your grandfather, I suspect. Nothing naïve here.
Judges are the grand council to the stupidity that lawyers project.
You certainly make grand claims, but is it backed up by reason? I highly doubt it.

Of COURSE lawyers are biased - they're supposed to be. Your lawyer is biased on your behalf, the prosecutor/opposing counsel is biased against you. The only way for a legal system to even begin to work is to have this adversarial relationship in place.
And if you think judges are impartial, have a quick wiki at Roy Moore's career.

You are 38. You're definitely not old enough to be my father. You're barely older than my oldest daughter.
It's all backed up by reason. Why do you think police tell people "You have a right to an attorney. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." Have you looked at the Japanese justice system at all? Or how about just the immigration courts in the United States? Have you looked at those at all?
You like to place blame on lawyers. The problem is bad laws, not lawyers. A lawyers only job is to defend their client to the best of their ability. If the laws allow them to do that, you can't blame them for doing it. The prosecution's job is to prove their case.
People always think they'd be able to defend themselves if they're innocent. The world doesn't work that way. It never has.

Police say it to protect themselves. That's the only reason.
Oh, so now you want to convolute American law with Japanese law? Seriously, grow some common sense.
The law is the problem. It has everything to do with lawyers and the opposite of your love obsession.

Police are REQUIRED to say it. They don't say it to 'protect themselves'. How about instead of using 'common sense' you actually learn a goddamn thing or two.

I was just thinking that about you, how you need to learn a goddamn thing or two.
