Has anyone here played this? It sounds intriguing. Looking to see if anyone here has experience with this game and if so, what they think about it.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I've played this game, it is great if you like managing an empire and negotiating with weird alien species. The fighting was pretty basic when I played but it was still fun seeing the ships buzzing around each other blasting each other. Colony management was really intuitive too. It is really interesting seeing what happens as a result of your tech choices. Most of the time good things happen but there can be unforeseen consequences.

It;s a good game.  Paradox is a good studio...they bought some IP from CCP (eve online) awhile back...can;t wait for that one. It won;t be based on the source material (that gut spun off) so I can only assume they have a 4x implementation for ccps engine....which...will be..fucking epic.
